Impact Camp was held on March 7-10 this year, with campers and leaders from Trinity Church Aldgate, Mount Barker and Victor Harbor.
Held at the beautiful Woodhouse Campsite in the Adelaide Hills, we were encouraged by teaching from the book of James. Sessions were led by Trinity Church Aldgate’s Associate Pastor, Mitch Dunne, as well as one of the Youth Leaders from Trinity Church Aldgate, David Winn. Topics included:
- Faith that … is firm
- Faith that … works
- Faith that … is humble
- Faith that … prays and worships
- Faith that … doesn’t forget
- Faith that … loves everyone.
We were challenged to look at a number of ways God is working in and through our lives.
- Why do we face trials?
- What does active faith look like?
- How can we resist the devil?
- What does a firm faith look like?
- What are the consequences of an arrogant heart?
A real highlight of our youth camp each year is our worship night – a time of testimonies, worship and great teaching. This year was no different – a celebration of what God is doing in our lives, and also a challenge to each one of us to reach out to others and share the gospel to those around us.
We had many first-time campers this year, and it was exciting to see how quickly camp community was established. What a great opportunity it was to meet new people and learn from a variety of leaders and speakers.
We look forward to running Impact Camp again next year.
