Planning Approval Secured For North Terrace Development

Planning Approval Secured For North Terrace Development

We’re excited to share that on Thursday 10 July, we received Planning Approval for the long-anticipated development of our North Terrace site! This marks a significant milestone in a journey that has spanned more than three decades.

The approved project will feature an impressive 1,002-bed student accommodation facility, car parking and new ministry facilities, which will enhance our outreach. Furthermore, the church building will be refurbished, making it more versatile than ever, all complemented by integrated landscaping that will aesthetically unite the entire development.

While we still have a few hurdles to clear before construction can officially kick off, this approval is a major milestone that paves the way for further progress into this exciting new chapter. Currently, we’re anticipating that construction will commence in the first quarter of 2026. In the months ahead, we will continue to provide updates and communicate further details as they become available.

As exciting as this news is, the Trinity Network has always been about far better news. As we embark on this construction journey with buildings being built and refurbished, our focus and vision remain steadfastly on the good news of Jesus. With over 1,000 students soon to be living on our doorstep, we recognise this as an incredible opportunity to share the gospel. Our prayer is that these new facilities will connect us with scores of new people – people with whom we can share the good news and transformative love of Jesus!

As I reflect on the 30+ year journey with this site, I’m deeply thankful to God. I’m continually reminded of the unwavering faithfulness and kindness of God, who has been at work in every detail all along, unfolding His plans in His perfect timing.

Can I ask you to join me in continuing to pray for the Trinity Church Adelaide staff, congregations and everyone involved in this exciting project? And together, let’s keep praising God for this opportunity for gospel growth, not just for Trinity Church Adelaide but for the entire Trinity Network, and even beyond.
